Description
The first IFSSEHT Seminar was held within the period from 24th to 29th July 2000 in Sarov. It was a forum of the biggest scientists in the field of hydrogen power engineering. The initiative out forward by the seminar organisers was quite relevant. The matters of economics and safety are the key factors for the solution of the hydrogen transport problem. The seminar summarised the achievements of domestic and world hydrogen power engineering for the last 25 years. It was within the precincts of the Russian Federal Nuclear Centre – All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics where major scientists worked over its problems in the very beginning of conception of a large-scale idea of hydrogen power engineering. In VNIIEF, a strong school of researchers has always existed who are engaged in problems of hydrogen material science, hydrogen power engineering, hydrogen interaction with metal surface, etc.
The main task and the basic goal of the forum are to consolidate efforts of scientists on the development of vehicles with a high efficiency, high characteristics of safety, reliability, economic efficiency, fuel accessibility.
Applicants have proposed the following topics for the seminar program:
- Storage of extremely light hydrogen fuel on the board of transport means
- Provision of vehicle safety and infrastructure
- Ecological and economic aspects of hydrogen production in the global and even planetary scale.
The expected number of participants (including foreign participants): 100 people.
